Mae C Jemison

She was born October 17 1956. She was the first person to ever go in to space. Her father was a maintenance supervisor for a charity organization.She admired Martin Luther King Jr. 1990 she won Gamma stigma Women of the year. She attended Cornell University and received a doctor medicine degree in 1981.She served in the peace corps from January 1983 to June 1985 and supervised the pharmacy laboratory and madison staff.She became the fifth black astronaut and the first black female to ever be in the history of NASA.
